the revolution is upon us.

It's happening now and it's making history -- from the streets of Egypt, Libya and Iraq to the state capitols Wisconsin and Indiana and to all 50 states across the U.S. All of these current displays of people power have their own titles and include a broad diversity of people. But they all share one common name: The compassionate rebel revolution. All of these protesters are compassionate rebels -- and they are not alone.
All around the world ordinary folks are combining their capacity to care (compassion) with their commitment to taking action against the status quo (rebelliion), whether in massive uprisings, small groups or individual acts of caring and courage, making the compassionate rebel revolution the largest social change movement in history.
In fact, a compassionate rebel lives in all of us waiting to be unleashed in story and in action.

What are the roots and inner-workings of this pervasive movement -- the strategies and techniques that make it happen? And what are some of the stories of real people who are making it happen?

The new book The Compassionate Rebel Revolution: Ordinary People Changing the World features the inspiring true stories of some 60 of these everyday heroes engaged in a variety of actions that are producing positive social change. Read and share their stories. Find and tell your own. The revolution is upon us.
